Digital Entertainment Asset Pte. Ltd. (DEA), a Singapore-based global GameFi platform company (Headquarters: Singapore, Founder & CEO: Naoto Yoshida, Founder & Co-CEO: Kozo Yamada), TEPCO Power Grid (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President: Yoshinori  Kaneko, hereinafter “TEPCO PG”), and Greenway Grid Global Pte. Ltd. (Headquarters: Singapore, President: Kazuhiko Shiba, hereinafter “GGG”) are collaborating to address challenges faced by infrastructure companies through gamification, aiming to achieve a sustainable society.

The three companies have conducted a pilot test (*1) of the participatory social contribution game “PicTrée – Grid Grab: Capture the Current” (hereinafter “PicTrée”) in a selected area of Maebashi City, utilizing “Power Assets”(*2). During this test at Maebashi City, many users submitted photos of infrastructure equipment, contributing to the early detection of issues such as trees encroaching on power lines and crow nests on utility poles.

As the second phase of the pilot test, we are pleased to announce that the pilot test will be conducted in Tokyo’s Chiyoda, Chuo, and Minato wards from 26 July 2024 (Friday) to November 2024. During the pilot test period,  additional new features will be launched to resolve various equipment maintenance issues.

In the “PicTrée” pilot test, DEA, TEPCO PG, and GGG will evaluate the quality of the infrastructure images obtained through the game and its effectiveness in inspection tasks including maintenance and security checks. Additionally, the test will explore ways to enhance the game content quality further and broaden the service scope for the future.
