SINGAPORE, May 18, 2023 — Digital Entertainment Asset Pte. Ltd. (DEA), a Singapore-based global GameFi company and owner of the PlayMining gaming platform, has announced the upcoming sales launch of “Raika Collaboration Land NFTs” and “Raika Commemorative Collaboration Illustration NFTs” on Thursday, May 25 at 14:00 (UTC+8). These NFTs are born of a collaboration between the PlayMining Verse metaverse project’s first installment, “Fujiwara Kamui Verse” designed by manga artist Kamui Fujiwara, and “Raika”, a manga written by Yu Terashima and illustrated by Kamui Fujiwara. 

The Raika Collaboration Land NFTs are special limited edition land NFTs featuring newly designed avatars of Raika and Iyo with a Japanese motif and coordinates in the Wakoku area of Fujiwara Kamui Verse. In addition, Raika Commemorative Collaboration Illustration NFTs will also be available with images of Mushika and Raika, popular characters from Fujiwara Kamui Verse.

■About Raika

Raika is a Japanese manga written by Yu Terashima and drawn by Kamui Fujiwara. It was serialized in Scola’s manga magazines “Comic Burger” and “Comic Bars” from 1987 to 1997 and is one of Kamui Fujiwara’s best-known works. It depicts battles in “Yamataikoku” (an ancient Japanese country) around the 3rd century A.D.

A Japanese manga artist, Fujiwara made his debut as a professional artist in 1981 with “Babel’s Paradise”. His original and delicate drawing style became the subject of much attention, and since then he has published a number of short stories based on his unique worldview in a variety of magazines and become a popular author. 

Fujiwara later produced a number of full-length masterpieces. His representative works include “Raika” (original story by Yu Terashima), “Dragon Quest Retsuden: Emblem of Roto” (original story and setting by Chiaki Kawamata), and the “Moribito” series (original story by Nahoko Uehashi).
